Favehotel Tuban Promotes Sportsmanship Through Futsal Competition Among SMK-SMA

As part of the series of activities leading up to its 6th-anniversary celebration, favehotel Tuban held a futsal competition in 2023 for students from vocational schools (SMK) and high schools (SMA) in Tuban Regency. The event was open to schools that had established good cooperation with favehotel Tuban through on-the-job training programs.

The competition saw the participation of 8 schools, including SMK Pelayaran Muhammadiyah Tuban, SMA Negeri 2 Tuban, SMK Taruna Jaya Prawira Tuban, SMK Negeri 3 Tuban, SMK Manbail Futuh, SMK Negeri Widang, SMK Al Mustawa Soko, and SMK Abdi Negera. The futsal competition took place on July 13, 2023, at the Manunggal Sport Centre located on Jl. Manunggal No.9, Keduran, Gedongombo, Kec. Semanding, Tuban Regency.

Bank Mandiri KCP Tuban sponsored the futsal competition as the main sponsor, and the opening kick was performed by Raymond Inti Wirawan, the owner representative of favehotel Tuban. The first match started with a tense duel between SMK Abdi Negara and SMK Negeri Widang, which ended in a draw.

The group stage concluded with SMK Taruna Jaya Prawira, SMK Al Mustawa Soko, SMK Pelayaran Muhammadiyah Tuban, and SMA Negeri 2 Tuban emerging as the four candidates for the semifinal stage. Surprisingly, SMK Al Mustawa Soko, initially considered a strong contender, suffered a bitter defeat with a score of 2-0 against SMA Negeri 2 Tuban, which had consistently performed well since the group stage. On the other hand, SMK Pelayaran Muhammadiyah Tuban failed to advance to the final as they were easily defeated by SMK Taruna Jaya Prawira with a score of 2-0.

In the battle for the third-place position, SMK Pelayaran Muhammadiyah Tuban emerged victorious, defeating SMK Al Mustawa Soko with a score of 4-1. Meanwhile, in the final, SMK Taruna Jaya Prawira had a tough match against SMA Negeri 2 Tuban, but they managed to secure victory with a single goal scored in the final minutes of the game.

This first futsal competition organized by favehotel Tuban is expected to provide benefits on two fronts: nurturing sportsmanship among students and strengthening the already well-established cooperation between favehotel Tuban and the vocational and high schools in Tuban Regency.
